<p>Well known classic Out Islander model, the "Meridian" has just completed an extensive 18 month refit/restoration. The work included re-wiring, re-plumbing, all new mechanical equipment with the engines and the Huckins v-drives being re-built, new bridge and the addition of a lower helm station.<br />
Considering the extent of the restoration, the vessel can truly be classified as a 1964/2010 model. She is in 'as new condition' mechanically, structurally and cosmetically. This is an unusual opportunity to acquire a well known classic in virtually new condition at approximately one-half the investment.</p>

Sleeps 6. Forward stateroom has v-berths/ shelves and hanging locker. Aft and to starboard is head compartment with stall shower. Opposite to port is a guest stateroom with upper and lower berths and hanging locker. Next aft is galley to port with new 3 burner Gourmet propane range with exhaust hood, ample counter space and deep double ss sink. To starboard are new Frigoboat refrigerator and freezer, a large pantry or storage locker.Up two steps to the deckhouse/saloon with cabinets on starboard and port. A new helm station has been installed on the starboard side with full instrumentation and controls. Aft to port is a built in L-shaped sette with hi-lo table. and ample room for occasional chairs. On the starboard side on the aft bulkhead are the new DC and AC ciruit breaker panels with gauges for the batteries, the shoreline or generator power and the fuel and water tanks. A door from the deckhouse leads aft to a companionway or weather-deck with access to the completly private master stateroom. Down 4 steps to the master stateroom with port and starboard berths, private head with stall shower and large hanging locker. All interior areas have new reverse cycle air conditioning systems.</p>
<p>Aft is the cockpit with a transom door. The main engines are below with a new 13KW Kohler generator in a sound shield. The boat is driven through re-built Huckins v-drives located under each berth in the master stateroom.</p>

The two Cummins 450 C series &#8211; 6CTA-M2 engines at 430 hp each with the Twin Disc 5061 transmissions that were originally installed by the Huckins Yard as new in 2000 were sent to Billings Diesel in Stonington, ME for refurbishing. The Huckins M56 vee-drives were rebuilt by Huckins. Two new Sealand VacuFlush heads were installed each with a new 35 gal. Dometic holding tank in Hold &#8220;B&#8221; with overboard pumpout and deck fitting for dockside pumpout. A 45 gal. gray water tank has also been installed Hold &#8220;B&#8221; for capturing gray water from the galley and each head/shower. New Aqua Drive jack shafts from engine transmissions to vee-drives were installed. New Kohler 13 KW generator in sound shield was installed. New reverse cycle Climma air conditioning &#8211; 3 zones, one 16,000 btu &amp; two 12,000 btu. Boat has been totally re-plumbed with polyethelene lines and a 12 volt Caliber fresh water pump.</p>

Meridian was built in 1964 on order to her original owner&#8217;s specifications. The hull construction is double diagonal Phillipine mahogany 3/8&#8243; planking bonded with resorcinal resin and then sheathed in 20 oz. fiberglass cloth set in epoxy resin. The planking is set over sawn white oak frames with laminated white oak keel and keelson. The decks and superstructure is 3/4&#8243; marine grade plywood over Phillipine mahogany framing structure. The decks and cabin tops were sheathed in 10 oz. fiberglass cloth set in epoxy. In the recent restoration a layer of Dynel was added to the decks and cabin tops. After all restoration work was completed, the entire exterior of the vessel was painted with Awlgrip Matterhorn white with a green boottop. The interior was completely painted including the engine compartment and Hold &#8220;A&#8221; and Hold &#8220;B&#8221;</td>

This classic model Huckins Out Islander has just completed a major restoration at the Brooklin Boatyard in Center Harbor, Maine. The restoration is presently (September 2010) 98% complete with the following items in process: Installation of venturi windscreen at upper helm, aft railing at upper helm and on the steps to trunk cabin, and mast for mounting radar antenna. Natural cork flooring has been installed throughout the interior. The interior softgoods (i.e. curtains, cushions,mattresses &amp; misc. decor, etc.) will be deferred to a new owner. The vessel has been totally gone over and fully upgraded to compare with a new cold molded vessel built today.<br />
This restored classic is available only due to the owner&#8217;s change in plans, and is priced at roughly half of the total investment. An excellent opportunity to acquire a well known classic that is comparable to a new vessel.</td>

<p>The Little Harbor WhisperJet 38 features a modern deep-V hull designed specifically for jet drives, with an innovative twin chine configuration that minimizes waterline beam for performance and fuel economy and maximizes interior volume for accommodations.</p>
<p>The twin chine eliminates annoying "wave slap" common to many boats while at rest. Dead rise angle is 17 degrees at the transom. The classic hull profile has an aggressive bow overhang and low-profile deck configuration.</p>
<p>Lovely Lucy also features a unique, custom aluminum flybridge with auxiliary helm station.</p>
<p>The helm area has been designed to position all instruments and controls at their optimal location in relation to the helmsman. Raytheon chartplotter, radar and other electronics renewed in 2009. A work area is located across from the helm so traditional charts can be used and, with Raymarine repeater and binnacle at this station.</p>
<p>Her large and comfortable cockpit salon has an L-shaped settee and casual seating for four. Below, interior accommodations are both straightforward and commodious. The owner's stateroom forward includes a large U-berth (as opposed to the typical narrow V-berth) with two 36-inch wide berths that can be converted into a double with a filler piece. <p>The Little Harbor WhisperJet 38 features a modern deep-V hull designed specifically for jet drives, with an innovative twin chine configuration that minimizes waterline beam for performance and fuel economy and maximizes interior volume for accommodations.</p>
<p>The twin chine eliminates annoying &#8220;wave slap&#8221; common to many boats while at rest. Dead rise angle is 17 degrees at the transom. The classic hull profile has an aggressive bow overhang and low-profile deck configuration.</p>
<p><em>Lovely Lucy </em>also features a unique, custom aluminum flybridge with auxiliary helm station.</p>
<p>The helm area has been designed to position all instruments and controls at their optimal location in relation to the helmsman. Raytheon chartplotter, radar and other electronics all renewed in 2009. A work area is located across from the helm so traditional charts can be used and, with Raymarine repeater and binnacle at this station.</p>
<p>Her large and comfortable cockpit salon has an L-shaped settee and casual seating for four. Below, interior accommodations are both straightforward and commodious. The owner&#8217;s stateroom forward includes a large U-berth (as opposed to the typical narrow V-berth) with two 36-inch wide berths that can be converted into a double with a filler piece. &#8220;Sea Lark&#8221; was  built originally on a white oak keel with 1 1/2?  Philippine or Honduras mahogany planking on white oak sawn frames on 8?  centers. Five fir stringers and one fir hull clamp were installed on  each side. Bulkheads were marine plywood. The plywood decks, originally  canvas covered, had been sheathed with fiberglass except for the side  and aft decks that had the original teak decking.</p>

&#8220;Sea Lark&#8217;s&#8221; hull has been rebuilt, the frames have been replaced with laminated oak frames. The original<br />
planking  had been stripped, re-painted and re-fastened with 1 5/8? bronze  screws. The mahogany planking is in good condition. Many frames have  been replaced, and new keel bolts installed. She has a new transom,  recently painted topsides, and her bottom has been repainted.</p>

Forward is the V-berth cabin. The dinette is aft and to port across from  the U-shaped galley with Princess electric stove with oven, double  stainless steel sinks and a Tundra refrigerator with freezer compartment  above. The stove had a stainless steel surround and hood vented by a  revolving cowl on deck.<br />
The raised salon is furnished with a  convertible couch. Aft is the stateroom with double berths on each side,  en suite heads, accessible from the passageway as well as the  stateroom, with a stall shower and a large cedar closet. The bridge deck  was furnished with a helm seat and an additional fishing chair, as well  as an upholstered settee and bench. The interior is clean and  attractive. New mattresses had been installed in the berths. The  interior joiner work has been recently varnished. There is a new  pull-out couch in the salon, and the vinyl upholstery in the dinette is  original and in good condition. The salon is carpeted, and the aft  stateroom is in very good condition.</p>

<p>PATIENCE is a United States Coast Guard inspected excursion vessel built for a Hyannis, Massachusetts company in 1982. She is rated to carry 149 passengers. Built on the lines of a 19th century steam ferry, she is a replica of the Hy-Line motor vessel PRUDENCE built in Boothbay Harbor in 1911. PATIENCE is reminiscent of Maine coastal steamers of days gone by. She has two decks, an old-style pilot house and many traditional details including a fantail stern and an upright stem. Interior beading, moldings and paneling add to her historical flavor.<span id="more-900"></span>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Construction of SHERAZADE began in December 2003 in a shipyard in Port Said, Egypt. The work was supervised by the Italian owner and captain Renato Marchesan and surveyed by Bureau Veritas.<br />
SHERAZADE has cruised the waters of the Red Sea extensively since her launch in 2005. She has been used as a charter vessel (in the dive business) in Southern Egypt between June and November and in Sudan between November and the end of May.</p>
